I’ve had a busy start to the summer with family and friends coming from Texas to visit us in our beautiful Montana valley. I suspect they were looking for a
little relief from that Texas heat and humidity. It’s nice to get out of the air conditioning sometimes and be able to sleep with the windows open. There’s also a soft rain falling tonight, so that makes it twice as sweet.
For those who have requested a printed version of Breaking TWIG, I wanted to let you know the paperback is being proofed now, and I hope to have it available later this month. And yes, it will include the reading group discussion guide for book
The Kindle ebook version of Breaking TWIG is free, July 1. The reading group discussion guide is not found in the Kindle format, but if you’d like a copy of the guide, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or fill out a comment card on this website. Enjoy your Fourth of July holiday and your summer.
Christie V. of Texas sent me some Southern favorites. Hot-water cornbread to go with Southern-style turnips greens with salt pork. And for the sweet tooth, a favorite of the South--Pecan Pie. You'll also find recipes for Becky's Lemonade Pie (yes, the same one she fed Frank in my enovel - Breaking TWIG), and Capt. Wendy's Redneck Gumbo. A lady ship captain from the bayous of Louisiana can't be wrong when it comes to making gumbo. Try one or all and let me know how it turns out by emailing me at : email@example.com
So for some great Southern recipes, check out the recipe page on my blog: www.deborahepperson.weebly.com
If you have a recipe you'd like to share, send it along. Only your first name, first letter of your last name , and state will be listed to protect your privacy. Or just send your state name if you like. Heck, we keep it simple and friendly here.
Have a great weekend, and keep those emails coming. I read every one of them.
